Monrovia, Liberia - The New Ghanaian Ambassador accredited to Liberia, Kodjo A. Wadee today paid a courtesy call on Vice President Joseph Boakai and assured that His Country will continue to work with Liberia to strenghen the already cordial ties existing between the two nations.
Ambassador Wadee said Ghana and Liberia share strong ties dating back many years and spoke of the post independence years of Ghana when President Kwame Nkrumah and President Tubman work together to fashion the Organization of African Unity. He said while here, he will work to consolidate this long standing relationship according to a release from the Office of the VicePresident.
Responding, Vice President Boakai praised Ghana for the many sacrifices they made during the years of instability in Liberia. He said there are truly strong ties between Liberia and Ghana and pointed out that many Liberians who sought refuge in that Country have chosen to stay in Ghana.
Vice President Boakai said many Liberian students are studying in that country something that speaks of the strong relationship between the two nations. He said Liberia sought technical assistance from Ghana to electrify the City of Monrovia among many areas of collaboration.
