Monrovia, Liberia - Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has departed the Country for Uturu, Abia State, the Federal Republic of Nigeria to participate in the ceremony that will culminate in the naming of the Social and Management College of Gregory University after him.
The Social and Management College is in recognition of Vice President’s Boakai’s commitment towards good governance and development in Liberia according to the letter of invitation extended the Vice President. Further the gesture is in fulfillment of the wish of the brother of the Founder of the University, a release from the Office of the Vice President said.
A fortnight ago, Vice President Boakai visited Drexel, Lincoln and Rowan Universities in Pennsylvania, the USA, upon the invitation of the Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Affairs of the City of Philadelphia to discuss issues of education relative to Liberia.
The Vice President and party will be away for a week, a release from the Vice President’s Office concluded.
