Chinese Ambassador takes leave of vice president Boakai- VP and Amb. Zhao positive of China-Liberia Ties

Monrovia, Liberia - Vice President Joseph N. Boakai has hailed Outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, Zhao Jianhua for working beyond the call of duty to strengthen China-Liberia relations and reemphasized that Liberia remains committed to the One China Policy.

 

Vice President Boakai said Ambassador Zhao during his tour of duty to Liberia worked assiduously for the growth and deepening of China-Liberia relations based on friendship, cordiality and respect for each others sovereignty.

 

Vice President Boakai made these remarks Tuesday when he received in audience His Excellency Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Zhao Jianhua,

China’s Ambassador to Liberia, who called on the Vice President to take leave of him.

 

Vice President Boakai spoke of the many projects that China has undertaken in Liberia and entertained the hope that China-Liberia relations will grow from strength to strength.

 

Earlier, Ambassador Zhao pointed out that this was his first assignment in Africa and was privileged to have been sent to Liberia. He thanked the Vice President, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the Government and People of Liberia for embracing him during his tour of duty here.
