President Sirleaf Off to Nimba

Monrovia, Liberia - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf travels to Nimba County on Saturday, February 3, in continuation of her nation-wide tour. The President will be accompanied by several government officials including the Ministers of Internal Affairs, Information and Health.  Renowned global philanthropist George Soros and Queen Noor of Jordan are also forming a part of the Presidentís delegation to Nimba.

Upon arrival in Ganta City, President Johnson Sirleaf and entourage are expected to inspect a multi-purpose building constructed by the Bangladeshi contingent on UNMIL. The Liberian Leader is also expected to break grounds for Nimba County Representative Nohn Kidauís local legislative office as well as dedicate a newly erected branch office of the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI).

President Johnson-Sirleaf will also visit Kpatou where she will dedicate a palava hut as part of the 100 community development initiatives.

The President and entourage will also visit Saclepea to inspect progress on a local market and a hospital being built by Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF).  While in Saclepea, the President and party will hold a town hall meeting with members of the local community to assess the needs of the community.
