Moroccan Ambassador Presents Special Message to President Sirleaf

Monrovia, Liberia - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohammed Lasfard, has presented a special message to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia. The message from the Moroccan King, Mohammed VI, centered on Liberian/Moroccan relations and areas through which the relations could be strengthened.

Ambassador Lasfard conveyed to the President special thanks from the Moroccan King, and expressed the hope that the Liberian Leader would visit Morocco.

President Johnson-Sirleaf thanked the Moroccan envoy for the message and said she looked forward to a visit by the Moroccan Prime Minister to Liberia.
The Foreign Ministries of both countries would set a date for the pending visit.

Meanwhile, the Youth Wing of the Unity Party has met with President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf to convey special birthday wishes to the President on the occasion of her 68th birth anniversary.

The Chairman of the Group, Hanson Kiazolu, assured the President of their preparedness to promote the policies and programs of government.

President Johnson-Sirleaf thanked the Unity Party Youth Wing for the message and assured members of the Group of governmentís determination to remain engaged with the young people of the country.
