Executive Mansion, Monrovia – Today, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai warmly welcomed renowned Islamic Scholar Mufti Ismael Musa Menk and his delegation to Liberia. This courtesy visit reflects Liberia’s commitment to fostering intercultural and interfaith dialogue and further highlights the nation’s openness to global leaders promoting peace, unity, and religious tolerance.

During the visit, Mufti Menk, recognized globally for his compassionate approach to interfaith harmony, discussed with President Boakai ways to promote mutual understanding, respect across religious communities, and national cohesion.

The learned and globally acclaimed Islamic cleric conveyed a message that resonates with Liberia’s rich history of religious coexistence and its ongoing efforts and this Government’s strive to maintain peace and stability.

President Boakai expressed gratitude to Mufti Menk for his dedication to fostering goodwill and solidarity worldwide. “Liberia is a country that treasures peace and unity among all  peoples, irrespective of their beliefs,” said President Boakai. The President went on to add, “Your teachings and mission align closely with our national values, and we are honored by your presence here.”

Mufti Menk, in turn, praised Liberia for its commitment to peace and inclusivity, commending President Boakai’s leadership for prioritizing harmony among Liberia’s diverse communities. He extended his prayers and support for Liberia’s continuous growth and prosperity, especially as the nation continues to strengthen its democratic principles and rebuild its social fabric.
