
President Boakai to Welcome His Regional Counterparts
Executive Mansion, Monrovia - President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., will welcome several distinguished regional and international guests to Monrovia as part of the festivities marking Liberia’s 178th Independence Day.
Confirmed guests include sitting Heads of State, former regional leaders, and high-level dignitaries who are expected to join Liberians in commemorating the country’s historic milestone and reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, development, and regional cooperation.
Among the key dignitaries expected are:
1. H.E. Umaro Mokhtar Sissoco Embaló, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
2. H.E. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
3. H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal.
4. Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, Former President of the ECOWAS Commission and AU High Representative for Silencing the Guns.
5. Dr. Abass Chernor Bundu, Former Executive Secretary of ECOWAS and Former Speaker of the Parliament of Sierra Leone.
6. H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, Former President of the ECOWAS Commission and Governor of the Central Bank of West African States.
