GOODWILL MESSAGE From His Excellency, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr.
I extend my warmest greetings and assure you of my full support for our young Lone Star as you prepare to face The Gambia U17 in the semifinal of the WAFU Zone A U17 Competition in Senegal.
You have already made Liberia proud. After drawing with Mali in your opening game and defeating Guinea, you have earned your place among the best teams in the competition. Now, one important game stands between you and an automatic place at the 2026 Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
I want you to go into this game with a high level of confidence, discipline, and the belief that you can do it. You are not playing only for yourselves; you are carrying the hopes and dreams of all Liberians, especially young Liberians across the country.

Your participation at this level also shows why we must continue investing in grassroots sports. I need not remind you that you, our young players of today, are the future of Liberian football, and, with the right support, training, and opportunities, you can become the next generation of Lone Star.
As your Government, we remain committed to supporting sports development, especially at the grassroots level, and creating opportunities for you to discover and develop your talents.
To all of you, our players, coaches, and officials, I urge you to stay focused, work together, and give this your best, as we know you will.
The entire nation is behind you.
