President Boakai Pays Tribute to the Late Grand Bassa Superintendent Julia K. Bono

Buchanan, Grand Bassa County – His Excellency, President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., led an array of government officials to Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, today to honor the life and legacy of the late Julia K. Bono, Superintendent of Grand Bassa County, during a solemn state funeral service.

In his tribute, President Boakai described Superintendent Bono as a selfless leader whose dedication to her County and country exemplified true service to humanity.

Addressing the bereaved family, the President encouraged them to remain united, emphasizing that solidarity and collective strength are key to preserving her legacy.

“Superintendent Bono always prioritized the well-being of others, putting service above self. She envisioned a Grand Bassa where development and unity thrived. Her unwavering commitment to the people will forever remain an inspiration,” President Boakai stated.

President Boakai further recounted his interactions with the late Superintendent, acknowledging her instrumental role in fostering collaboration and advancing the development agenda of Grand Bassa County and Liberia at large.

He urged the people of Grand Bassa to uphold the virtues of unity, love, and progress that Superintendent Bono championed during her tenure.

“Bassa is a place with a loving heart,” the President remarked,” adding “Division is not permissible if we truly value our shared patrimony. One of the greatest tributes to her memory will be your commitment to fostering unity and building a county that represents the aspirations of all its people.”

Superintendent Julia K. Bono served Grand Bassa County with distinction, leaving behind a legacy of service, compassion, and leadership. Her contributions to the Unity Party and the Government of Liberia were deeply valued and will continue to resonate in the years to come.
