PRESIDENT BOAKAI LAUDS THE ANNIE T. DOE FOUNDATION ~ HONORS FOUNDERS FOR SERVICES TO NATION
President Boakai assured that his Administration will unreservedly welcome and support initiatives that align with the ARREST Agenda, as these pursuits are critical to the development of the nation.
President Boakai was speaking today, Thursday, October 8, at his Rehab Community Residence Office when he received in audience a fourteen-member delegation of the Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.
The Foundation is engaged in sponsoring free education for over 600 children in Buchana, Grand Bassa County, from K1 to 12th grade, providing scholarships to high school students in partnership with churches, schools, and organizations.
According to the Foundation, they are also engaged in women empowerment and health programs, undertakings that the President described as "laudable.”
The members of the delegation, comprising philanthropists and humanitarians, are in the country as part of the institution's mission to secure aid, money, goods, and resources to provide critical services to underprivileged communities in Liberia.
President Boakai serenaded the founders of the Foundation by pinning them with the Presidential Seal of the Republic of Liberia.
Madam Saya Doe Sio and Mr. Francis K. Sio are Founder and co-founder, respectively, of the Annie T. Doe Memorial Foundation.
